Lansdowne (sometimes erroneously spelled "Landsdowne" or confused with Lansdale, much to the ire of its residents) is a borough in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is essentially a residential suburb of Philadelphia. Population in 1900, 2,630; in 1910, 4,066; and in 1940, 10, 837. The population was 11,044 at the 2000 census. Lansdowne is located 5 miles (8 km) southwest of Philadelphia.

The racial makeup of the borough was 75.25% White, 18.98% African American, 0.09% Native American, 2.87% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.43% from other races, and 2.37% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.48% of the population.
